By browsing this website, creating an account, adding items to your cart, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

TechMart Electronics Company sells smartphones and laptops. Our product range includes brand-new and certified pre-owned devices from major global brands including Apple, Samsung, Google, HP, Dell, Lenovo, and ASUS.

All prices are displayed in Malawian Kwacha (MWK). Prices may change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is confirmed.

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. However, we do not warrant that descriptions are entirely free from error. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

All products are subject to availability. If a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a full refund.

Where a product is listed as pre-owned or refurbished, the product listing will state the condition clearly. Pre-owned devices have been inspected, tested, and graded before being listed for sale. Cosmetic imperfections, where present, will be described in the product listing.

Pre-owned products carry the same 3-month TechMart warranty as new products, covering manufacturing and hardware defects under normal use.

Placing an order on our website is an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms. An order is confirmed only when you receive an order confirmation from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.

Order Cancellation

You may cancel an order before it has been dispatched by contacting us on WhatsApp or email. Once dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible and our returns policy applies. Bank transfer orders that are cancelled before dispatch will be refunded within 3 to 5 business days.

Collection

All orders may be collected free of charge from our collection point at Area 3, Room 12, Jadil Hedrian House, Lilongwe, during business hours. You will receive a notification when your order is ready for collection. Please bring your order confirmation and a valid form of identification.

Delivery

We deliver across Malawi. Delivery costs are paid by the customer. The delivery fee will be communicated to you before dispatch and must be settled before or upon delivery.

Estimated Delivery Timeframes

• Lilongwe: 1 to 2 business days
• Blantyre, Mzuzu, Zomba: 2 to 4 business days
• Other districts and remote areas: 3 to 7 business days

These are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to public holidays, weather, or courier disruptions.

Risk and Title

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon collection or delivery. Title to the goods passes upon receipt of full payment.

All products sold by TechMart Electronics Company come with a 3-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and hardware faults that occur under normal use conditions.

What Is Covered

• Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
• Hardware failures not caused by accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised repair
• Dead-on-arrival products (report within 48 hours of receipt)

What Is Not Covered

• Physical damage caused by drops, impacts, or liquid contact
• Damage from power surges or use of incorrect chargers or accessories
• Normal wear and tear, including battery capacity reduction over time, surface scratches, and cosmetic wear
• Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, modifications, or use of non-approved accessories
• Software-related issues not caused by a hardware defect
• Theft or loss of the product

Warranty Exclusions for Pre-Owned Products

Pre-owned products carry the same 3-month warranty. However, pre-existing cosmetic conditions described in the product listing at the time of purchase are not covered. Battery health at the time of purchase is stated in the listing and natural degradation from that point is considered normal wear.

We accept returns within 7 calendar days of collection or delivery, subject to the following conditions:

• The product must be unused and in its original, undamaged packaging
• All accessories, documentation, and bundled items must be included
• A valid order number must be provided

Accepted Return Reasons

• Product is defective or not working on arrival
• Wrong product was sent
• Product is significantly different from the description on the website

Change of Mind Returns

Change of mind returns are accepted only if the product is unused, sealed in its original packaging, and returned within 7 days. The customer is responsible for any delivery costs associated with returning the product.

Non-Returnable Items

• Products that have been used, damaged, or modified
• Products returned without original packaging or accessories
• Products returned after the 7-day window without prior approval

Refund Process

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days to the original payment method. Delivery charges paid by the customer are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

TechMart offers a layby facility allowing customers to pay for a product in instalments over a maximum period of 3 months.

Layby Terms

• A non-refundable deposit of at least 30% of the product price is required to secure the product.
• The remaining balance must be paid in equal monthly instalments over a maximum of 3 months from the date of the deposit.
• The product will be held and reserved for you upon receipt of the deposit. The product will not be released until the full price has been paid.
• Payments must be made on or before the agreed instalment dates. A grace period of 5 calendar days applies to each instalment.
• If an instalment is not paid within the grace period, TechMart will send a reminder via WhatsApp or email. If payment is still not received within 14 calendar days of the original due date, TechMart reserves the right to cancel the layby.
• If a layby is cancelled due to non-payment, TechMart will refund amounts paid minus the non-refundable deposit and an administration fee of 10% of the total product price.
• Layby products are subject to the same 3-month warranty, which begins on the date the product is collected or delivered after full payment.
• Layby is available on all products with a price of MWK 50,000 or above.
• Only one layby arrangement may be active per customer at any time, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• TechMart reserves the right to decline a layby application at its discretion.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not use the site to transmit harmful or fraudulent content, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, scrape or reproduce our product listings or pricing, place fraudulent orders, or use automated tools to interact with the website.

We reserve the right to terminate access to any account found to be in violation of these Terms.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, product images, and software, is the property of TechMart Electronics Company or its content suppliers and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Product names and brand logos belong to their respective manufacturers and are used for identification purposes only.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malawian law, TechMart Electronics Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process personal data in compliance with the Malawi Data Protection Act (No. 3 of 2024).

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Malawi. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malawi.
